ABOUT US

 

Our staff performs a variety of fiscal monitoring functions to assure compliance with granting agencies, District, federal and state audit guidelines and requirements. Accountants screen funds for accuracy and will contact the program if an issue is detected, post any payments received from the grantor and send invoices to the grantor/agency. They also provide review or assistance verifying the grant expenditures or any questions related to the fiscal part of the grant administration. The Grants Office reviews expenditure reports for accuracy prior to submission by the program and coordinates online or signature certifications by the Vice Chancellor of Business Services, if needed.

In addition, for individual grant applications that have been pre-approved at the College and District level, Mario Murillo, District Grants Monitor/Sr. Accountant, Interim, will provide assistance during the grant application process, submission and post-award fiscal monitoring.
