ABOUT US

The District Grants Development Office (GDO) is FHDA's Districtwide resource for pre-award grant development, providing strategic leadership and collaborative support across Foothill College, De Anza College, and the District Office. 

The GDO partners with faculty, staff, administrators, and project teams to develop competitive external funding proposals that advance institutional priorities and create meaningful opportunities for our students and communities. Through a standardized Districtwide process, the GDO supports grant strategy, proposal development, institutional coordination, review, and submission. 

All grant proposals submitted on behalf of Foothill-De Anza Community College District, its colleges, or District units must proceed through the established GDO process prior to submission.

Grant support at FHDA spans two connected functions: 

Grants Development Office I Pre-Award 

The GDO leads and coordinates the pre-award process, from initial consultation and institutional review through proposal development, submission, and award acceptance. 

Post-Award Grants Administration 

Following award acceptance, Post-Award Grants Administration supports the fiscal administration and stewardship of funded grants.
