Grants:  PRE-AWARD

The District Grants Development Office (GDO) provides consistent, Districtwide support for developing and advancing external funding opportunities at FHDA.

The GDO serves as a collaborative partner throughout the pre-award process - helping project teams strengthen ideas, navigate institutional requirements, and develop competitive proposals while coordinating the reviews and approvals required for submission.

Whether you have identified a specific funding opportunity, have a project idea that may benefit from external funding, or have been invited to participate in a grant partnership, engage the GDO before beginning an application or committing FHDA to a proposal.

All grant applications and submissions on behalf of FHDA are coordinated through the GDO and follow the established Districtwide grant development process.

Grant DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

FHDA uses a standardized Districtwide grant development process to provide consistent support, appropriate institutional review, and coordinated development of external funding proposals.

The process begins with the Grant Intake Form and an initial consultation with the GDO. From there, the GDO coordinates the appropriate institutional review and authorization before working collaboratively with the project team to advance proposal development and submission.

The GDO guides and coordinates grant proposals through each stage of the pre-award process. Grant applications may not be independently developed or submitted on behalf of FHDA outside of the established process.

Project teams are encouraged to engage the GDO as early as possible to allow sufficient time for consultation, institutional coordination, and development of a competitive proposal.
