The District Grants Staff includes Sirisha Pingali, Senior Accountant/Grants Monitor and Scottie McDaniel, Grants Accountant. They are located in the Foothill-De Anza District Office Building, 5982 at the Foothill College Campus in the Temporary Village.

The District Grants Staff is responsible for providing advice as it relates to grants, to faculty and administrators, who manage grant and categorical funds. When preparing a budget for your grant, The District Grants Staff can provide current salary schedules and benefit costs for the staffing needs of your grant. Also, they will review the grant budget prior to its submission.

When you are ready to submit your proposal, they will coordinate a time to have your grant signed off and approved by the District's authorized personnel (Judy Miner, Chancellor/Kevin McElroy, Vice Chancellor of Business Services).

Later, if your grant is approved for funding, the District Grants staff will assist you in getting your grant recorded in our financial system. They will establish a unique account code and record the approved budget that was funded for your grant into the financial system.

During the grants performance period, the District grant staff will review the financial sections of the progress reports and will also help you with your final report. They will obtain any signatures or certifications necessary to submit the reports. For purchases that are for $1,000 or more, they will review and sign check requests, invoices, and purchase requisitions for compliance purposes.

Finally, the District Grants Staff will provide you with tips and advice in order to assist you and make your grant administration experience positive.
