The District Grants Staff includes Bret Watson, Grants Monitor and Serena Muindi, Accountant. We are located in the Foothill-De Anza District Office Building at the Foothill College Campus.
The District Grants Staff is responsible for providing advice, direction, and assistance to grant directors, management, and to the Foothill and De Anza Colleges Grant Staff. When preparing a budget for your grant, we can provide current salary schedules and benefit costs for the staffing needs of your grant. Also, we will review the grant budget prior to its submission to the grantor agency.
After you have worked with the Foothill College or De Anza College campus grant staff and are ready to submit your proposal, we will coordinate a time to have your grants signed off by the District's authorized personnel.
Later, if your grant is approved for funding by the grantor agency, the District's Grants staff will assist in getting your grant recorded in the FRS financial system. Using the appropriate Forms, we can establish a unique account code and record a budget that conforms to the one approved by the grantor agency.
During the grant term, the District grant staff will review the financial sections of the progress reports and final reports and obtain any signatures. We will monitor check requests and purchase requisitions over $1,000 for compliance with regulations of the District and grantor agencies.
The District Grants Staff will provide you with tips and advice in order to assist you and make your grant administration experience positive.
