The mission of Business Services is to assist the colleges in carrying out their goals and objectives in providing quality education to our students. To that end, Business Services provides services in the areas of Accounting, Budget, Environmental Health & Safety, Finance, Grants, Payroll, Safety, and Risk Management. In addition to these areas, Business Services manages the District's procurement card program.
Susan Cheu, Interim Vice Chancellor of Business Services, is the chief business official of the District and is responsible for the portion of Business Services that includes Risk Management, Budget Operations, Material Services, District Safety and Security, Accounting Services, Bookstores on both campuses, and Facilities, Operations and Construction Management.
While most of the day-to-day business activity and transactions are coordinated by managers and departments under the supervision of Susan Cheu, she participates most directly in the development of the annual budget, long contracts, audit responses, and policies and procedures.
